effective, secure wireless access for your whole premises.
DMS SmoothCloud
offers a highly cost effective way of adding wireless network access to
your school at a minimal cost, without compromising security. Rather
than use expensive access points with separate security settings,
SmoothCloud puts the security (Ministry of Defence level PKI
certificates) on the network itself and uses less expensive access
points.
There is
continuity of access with SmoothCloud. Users log on to the network once
with their usual credentials and, as they roam between rooms and
buildings the signal transfers seamlessly from one access point to
another. The ‘cloud’ of access can be extended with additional low cost
access points at any time, or be used to address any ‘dry’ spots where
the signal is poor. |
WEP key security for Wi-Fi is now unreliable, with mischievous students
able to crack them in 65 seconds! Also, WEP does not support roaming as a
new key must be entered for each access point. |
