DMS Omni allows users instant access to
both their data files AND applications on the server, with a secure
login from any location. So you get a faster network with little or no
investment in workstations.
Omni runs either the whole desktop, or the
application, remotely from a server. No applications are on the local
PC, so students always use the same applications as one another and no
technicians’ time is needed to keep workstations updated with the same
software.
Use
from home (or anywhere!):
Omni employs powerful encryption
for the highest level of security (the same PKI certification that is
used by the Ministry of Defence). This means that students and teachers,
as well as parents, can be given their own login to the network that can
be exercised from their PC anywhere in the world. And, as all data
sits on the central server, there are never multiple copies of
documents, or slow synchronisation processes. |
Use in
School or College:
Your workstations do not run
the applications, so you can re-use those which you may otherwise have had
to replace because they were getting old and slow. DMS will speed up
these workstations and tune them in to the Omni system.
